Tracy’s passion for the music industry began simply: organizing and playing in bands before he reached high school in Chattanooga, TN. After college at Vanderbilt, that passion led Tracy to release an eponymous folk record and eventually join the Nashville-based rock band Bare Jr. in 1995. He recorded two records and toured with that band until 1999 when, under the valuable mentorship of his father, H.L. Hackney, he chose to begin his own financial planning practice in Nashville affiliated with Northwestern Mutual.
For the past 15 years, Tracy has grown a successful wealth management practice focused primarily on the music industry and is one of the most sought after advisors for musicians, songwriters, artists and music business executives.
Tracy considers his experience touring and recording invaluable to his current practice, and in 2002 he obtained the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM designation to further his professional development. Tracy and his entire team engage with the sole purpose of empowering them to live lives free of financial stress. Creating specifically-designed financial plans for clients, allocating their resources to help protect what is most important to them.
